The project proposes a mixed-program building that combines a fire station with an information centre and museum dedicated to fires and their prevention. This building is located on the new seafront where a prominent cultural and tourist axis is being created forming a promenade that will connect the city to the bay.
Reducing the building’s carbon footprint, both during it’s construction and the lifespan was one of the goals of this project. A compact and heavily isolated design, paired with a wooden structure and cladding help to achieve these goals.
