​

A cemetery is a place of reflection, self enquiry, where one feels small and unimportant in the face of time and the force of nature. I have tried to design a cemetery which  does not provide a sense of security, but rather encourages the contemplation of nature. To achieve this I wanted each space to have a different relationship with the terrain and the landscape. 

The chapel hovers over the pine trees while the niches are dug, forming passageways along the mountainside that open up to the sky in a V shape.
